Budding Artists

BUDDING ARTISTS: Ages 8-12
Young artists dive in and explore a different art form under the guidance of master teaching artists. All sessions include outdoor play in these diverse and inspiring full-day intensives for our next generation of creative thinkers, designers, performers, and art-makers! Students will create original work to be presented in performance or portfolios at the end of each session.

Class Sharings – Fridays 4:30
All programs culminate in an afternoon “sharing” where friends and family are invited to enjoy a short presentation where students will share the work they made and explored throughout the week.

Arts Explorers

ARTS EXPLORERS: Ages 5-8 

Spoke the Hub’s new multi-arts program for the young ones features different age appropriate activities everyday including music, dance, song, theater, games, creative writing, outdoor play, arts and crafts, nature, cooking, field trips and so much more! Sign up for a week or drop-in by the day all summer long.

STH’s youngest artists will enjoy a full morning of singing, dancing and make-believing, along with story-telling, music-making, and arts and crafts.

Dance intensive

DANCE INTENSIVE

Open to serious dance students, ages 8-15* with some previous dance training. (*Morning technique classes will also be open to teen and adult dance students as single classes if room is available.) STH’s full-day “Young Artists Summer Dance Intensive” program is limited to 16 students.

Full Day Program (9:30am-5:00pm): $575 per week
Single Morning Technique Class (space permitting) $20 per class
3 Week Afternoon Performance Workshop Only (2:00-5:00 pm): $775

YOUNG ARTISTS PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP with Elise Long
(3 Week Program: August 6 – 31
(by invitation or with permission of instructor)
The afternoon “Performance Workshops” with STH Director/ Founder Elise Long, is limited to 8 choreographer/directors, with permission of the instructor. Participants must take all 3 weeks of the workshop. Although helpful, previous dance or performance experience is not necessary to take this workshop. Participants may take this afternoon workshop by itself or as the 2nd half of the full day intensive program. The workshop culminates in public performances of student’s original work at the end of the 3 weeks; concert will also be performed again as part of a STH Encore Performances in September.

Refund Policy

All Camp purchases are 100% refundable, less a $35 registration fee, if cancelled before May 2, 2017. No refunds, no extensions, no exceptions.

Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarships are available for select Multi-Arts Summer Program weeks. Students are expected to attend camp Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:00pm for each week that they are attending.
