CONCRETE TEMPLE THEATRE is a multi-disciplinary company, committed to the creation of compelling new theatrical works, incorporating drama, dance, puppetry, music and the visual arts. Sofía Forero Correa was born and raised in Cali, Colombia. She studied at Joffrey Ballet School and graduated from The Ailey School- Certificate Program- with Honors. She has performed pieces by Merce Cunningham, Paul Taylor, Alvin Ailey, Angelica Stiskin, Rena Butler, Larisa Calero, Luis Salgado, Earl Mosley, Darrel Moultrie, Kirven Boyd, Vernard J. Gilmore, among others. She founded The Heraclitus Project in 2018 and has presented her choreographic work and productions in renowned venues, including, 14th Street Y Theater, Davenport Theater, Dixon Place Theater, The Hudson Valley Festival, Winter Follies Festival, Fertile Ground, Sony Music Hall, Hudson Guild Theater, Dance On The Lawn Festival, Union City PAC, Arts on Site, The Greenpoint Gallery, The Craft and AVA Gallery.
Olga Rabetskaya is a director, photographer and choreographer from Belarus, who currently lives in the USA (olgarabetskaya.com, IG: @olga_rabetskaya). Sierra Hendrix is a dance and visual artist from Salem, Oregon (IG: @sierrahendrix). “Same eyes” is a duet that symbolically communicates the pain of being uprooted from home, being injected into a new reality and healing from trauma.
mignolo dance is a 501-c3 nonprofit contemporary dance company founded by sisters Charly & Eriel Santagado in 2017. Based in Metuchen, NJ, much of the company’s work explores elements of various artistic disciplines through movement. The Grammar of Space seeks to investigate the full spectrum of meaning and non-meaning through the strategic division of space. How do the places we occupy impact our own experiences and the way others perceive us? What can we learn from distance and proximity?
Nikki Theroux received her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Marymount Manhattan College in 2014. She is a co-founder of NYC-based dance collective, wld(flwr), created with partners Dale Ratcliff and Tamara Leigh. Nikki has worked with Mersiha Mesihovic/CircuitDebris, Soluq Dance Theater, Suku Dance Lab, tedted Performance Group, Mike Esperanza, Max Stone, Emily Greenwell, and Joshua Dunn. Nikki has studied in Israel with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, where she performed works by Ilya Nikurov, Rami Be’er, and Mats Ek. Her most recent endeavor has been creating an evening length with wld(flwr).
