TRAINED & UNTRAINED DANCERS WANTED

FOR SPOKE THE HUB’S FIRST

LOCAL PRODUCE “M.A.D. MOB”

MADMob_featureOK, this is hardly Spoke the Hub’s first presentation of a humongous, outdoor, “flash dance mob” to use the more common parlance of this past decade; in fact, Elise Long and Spoke the Hub Dancing have been creating and presenting this kind of large-scale, public, egalitarian, outdoor dance “experience” for all ages for decades.

It IS, however, STH’s first open call to one and all, big and small, younger and older, professional and amateur, to join Spoke the Hub’s Director/Founder, Elise Long, in the creation of a large, communal dance work choreographed specifically for STH’s 20th annual LOCAL PRODUCE FESTIVAL, this year to be held on Saturday June 1st at the Old Stone House & Washington Park, and on Sunday June 2nd in one of Park Slope’s most luscious community gardens.

Dance rehearsals for the general public with Elise will begin in March and will be held on Friday evenings at Gowanus Arts from 7:00-9:00pm, or on Saturday afternoons from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Sign up now (and indicate which rehearsal you can attend) by contacting: elise@spokethehub.org (Children younger then 8 years old must be accompanied by a participating adult.)

Prefer to be part of an accompanying music “mob” instead of the dance brigade? Please also contact Elise now and note what instrument you play and we will get back to you with rehearsal times.
