(WOW) Exhibit: Featuring New Paintings By Robert Weiss

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Robert Weiss graduated from the High School of Music and Art and received his BA and MA from Pratt Institute. He has been painting the urban landscape for over 50 years. Most of his works are acrylic on panel or canvas. Weiss has exhibited his work in shows around the country and won awards at the Butler Art Institute Ohio, Wichita Art Center, Salmagundi Club NYC, Parkersburg Art Center West Virginia and others. He has also taught Art and Art History on the secondary and college level.

Artist Statement

“To me there is still something magical about the craft of making pictures. My cityscapes have never been solely about the use of line, composition, color schemes, texture, balance. The emotional power and self history that I find in these images are most important to me. I cannot expect the viewer to feel the same but I hope they can sense its importance to me.”
